The GBMSL is a co-operation of approx. 12 communities in the Georgian Bay area. Each community has a representative that sits on the GBMSL and the league executive is elected from those individuals.
Our season begins on the May long weekend and runs until Mid August to September depending on the teams involved. Registration generally begins in each community by March.
We are a mixed league starting at age 6 and running to age 19, playing competitive fastball amongst the other participating communities of the GBMSL
Upcoming Meetings, Clinics and Events
Season Start for 2012 will be on Monday, May 21st with our Tyke & Bantam divisions, Mini-Squirt & Midget on Tuesday, Squirt on Wednesday & Peewee on Thursday!
Bantam & Midget Select Tryouts will be holding their second tryout/practice in Victoria Harbour (sunset park) on Friday May 18th @ 6:30 p.m. - This is for Bantam & Midget teams. This is not a combined team, we are just holding the tryouts at the same time!
We had a solid turnout out for both teams on the first night with several calls/emails from those who couldn't attend, we encourage everyone to try and attend this event! If you have any questions you can contact us at rattlers@gbmsl.com

BANTAM & MIDGET SELECT TEAMS TRYOUT DATE ANNOUNCED- DETAILS BELOW-
If you want to get involved with helping or coaching a Rattler team this summer you need to let our league convener know. Keith will help co-ordinate things to bring teams together. Remember that we generally look for 2 coaches from different communities to help run a team. Also all teams are recruited from across the GBMSL so all players have the right to tryout for a team. Generally 12 players are taken but that will be up to the coaches responsible for the team. Please send an email to rattlers@gbmsl.com if you are interested in getting involved. If you are a GBMSL player who wants to tryout you can also send an email to ratters@gbmsl.com with your name, email address & the division you are in and trying out for. Keith will forward the info to those running the team/tryouts. Details will be updated here as they become available

Peewee OASA- Norm & Nicole Robitaille (Coaching & Team Tryouts)- Toanche will also be hosting the Peewee Eliminations on the July 14th weekend. Tryouts for this team are over! Contact Nicole - nicole72@bell.blackberry.net
Bantam & Midget Select-Midget-Barb Maw & Keith Chapman (Coaching & Team Tryouts)- Minesing will be hosting a July Midget Select Tournament (July 7) & are hosting the Select Midget Provincials ( Aug 18th weekend)- rattlers@gbmsl.com. We will be holding tryouts for Bantam & Midget at the same time (same concept as with Peewee's & Squirts)
Select Midget Girls-First Tryout on Friday, May 11th @ 6:30 p.m. in Wyebridge- wilmel@rogers.com
Squirt & Peewee Select- We will be putting together squirt & peewee select teams once the GBMSL season is up and organized (First of June), stay tuned to this page for details. The first tryout will be held with both divisions in attendance to get things going. The Peewee Select Provincials are being hosted by Tay Township in Victoria Harbour & Port McNicoll on Aug 18th weekend- if you want to be contacted with the tryout info send an email to rattlers@gbmsl.com
5 Pitch- Keith & Felix are planning to do another 5 pitch team and travel to Toronto for a tournament later in the season. If interested please send Keith an email- rattlers@gbmsl.com and we'll add you to the contact list!
